Blog Grade = F

Coming from a teacher, I think it is safe to say that I get an F in blogging. I am making an early New Year's resolution to update the blog more, especially because I always have something to say and Isaiah always gives me funny stories. Not that this is an excuse, but my camera has not been working, so it's hard to update when I don't have any pictures... I know that is what most of you like anyway.

We are getting hit every day with the reality that Isaiah is very much a toddler and a boy!! He loves to investigate and climb. I heard him giggling in his room the other day. I walked in to find his stepping stool on top of one of his toys that looks like a table next to his bed. He was so proud of himself for finding a way to get in to his crib. What kid crawls IN to his crib?! I am not going to complain though, we are soaking up the time where he doesn't crawl out.

Although he is so much fun right now, I still get a little sentimental and sad knowing he isn't a baby anymore. Last Sunday, after church he was walking around with his hands in his pockets. It reminded me of when we made him pose like that when he was only a couple weeks old.

Big boy!

Deep Thoughts by Lisa Russell
Although life has been a little crazy lately with our schedules, work, ect. I have been really thinking about how blessed we are. Thanksgiving always helps promote a grateful heart, but it's been more than the Holiday that has put me in a thankful mood. To have two set of parents that are so incredible and supportive, for a son that brightens up a room and fills us with laughter, for good family, encouraging friends, a roof over our heads and food on the table. I know that I can get caught up in the things I don't have sometimes, but these are the most important things. It's something I have always known, but it's different to live it out on a daily basis. To recognize all the blessings God freely pours on us in the present. God has provided for us is so many ways and I know it's due to his love and grace.
Recently, I had a situation that put me in a hard place but God has revealed that he redeems all things! Even when we have circumstances or people that leave us as victims, truth is always revealed. If we act out in love and grace as Jesus does, He will bring redemption, justice and truth.

Just a little soap box and/or word of encouragement.

We are thankful for each of you who read this to stay up on our lives!
