Happy Easter!

We had such a fun Easter this year! It's so much fun to have Isaiah old enough to dye eggs, Easter Egg hunt and even start to understand the real meaning of Easter.

This year we did "Resurrection Eggs." It's something I heard about through my mom's group at church. You get an empty egg carton, fill it with plastic eggs that are numbered 1-12. Each egg has a little something in it to represent the story of Easter. Example Egg #1 has a little piece of bread to symbolize the last supper. #9 is an empty egg to represent the Empty tomb (Isaiah says, "No Jesus" as he puts his hands up in the air). It goes through the whole story of Jesus's death and resurrection with bible verses and everything. Isaiah loves going through it, especially because he can open each egg and get a hands on experience instead of just listening to the story. It's even good for me to go through the story with him just as a reminder of the incredible sacrifice God made so that we can be made new. So, as fun as the typical Easter stuff was...it is a blessing to see our son learning about the One who loves him SO MUCH that he gave His son for us.
