Summer Fun

Our friends from Denver were able to come over last Sunday to spend the day with us. It was a gorgeous day for a BBQ, a walk and time with Isaiah.

We also had some friends come over on Monday to celebrate the warm weather and take Isaiah for his first swim in the pool. He seemed a little surprised by the temperature, but he got used to it. He was intrigued with the water...just staring at it. We are looking forward to taking him a lot this summer to get him more used to it. If he is anything like us, he will love being in the water.

A lot of people have been asking if I got a job. I am sorry I have been so bad about communicating that. It has been a hard 2 months looking for something, going through interviews, applications and desperately applying places just to land a job. But, just when I thought I was going to have to waitress, I got 2 very part time jobs that I am excited about. They are contract positions, but between the two of them I think they will be enough. I am helping out with a Christian printing company as they need help. I know the owners from the Alpha Center and they are wonderful people to work with. I can even bring Isaiah with me. I also got a job at a new venue in Loveland called The Garden Room. They just opened in April. They do events including wedding receptions, corporate lunches, etc. I am helping out with the events for now with the potential of it developing in to an event planning position as they grow. I can usually bring Isaiah with me to this job too and it's something that I have always wanted to do! We will see how it works out, but things are looking up for us.
