Busy scootin

Has it really been 3 weeks since I have updated the blog? Wow, how time passes...and how the summer goes by so quickly! I say that every year, but somehow the next year I am always suprised again. Things have been crazy at the Russell home. Joel has been working a lot of overtime this month. He is going to help out with the youth group at church again this year, so he starts the kickoff for that tonight. He is also looking in to going to school this fall. We are waiting on an approval from Comcast to provide a tuition reimbursement. Can't pass up free school! I have been busy getting prepped to teach Drug and Alcohol Prevention for the Fort Collins school district. I am super excited about this position. It's only 10-12 hours a week and I am going to try and teach on days that Joel is home so we don't have to do childcare. I have also been doing other various contract work. I keep saying God provides...even if it's through 8 jobs (really only 3). As some of you know, my Grandma has been in the hospital with some health problems, but thankfully she is doing better now. She is now in short-term care until she gets the strength to go home. My grandpa is now in long-term care at a wonderful facility that has an incredible Alzheimers unit. Thanks to everyone who was praying for my grandparents and our family!

We have also been very busy chasing after our scooting machine! Isaiah has not quite mastered the crawling thing yet, but he sure has found his way to get across the room and get in to things that he is not supposed to. He is on the move and very active! Yesterday, we had to crawl around on the floor to get a "baby's eye" view so that we could baby proof the house. It's so funny that he can be surrounded with toys, but all he wants to do is feel the speakers, pull the nintendo cords, play with the door stops, etc. His personlity is coming through more and more everyday and we just know he is going to continue to be a bundle of joy!

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks:

Joel and I had the opportunity to get away for a night to Breckenridge for a much needed break and alone time! We had a wonderful dinner date in beautiful Breck!
My friends John and Shay were in town and they got to meet Isaiah for the first time.

Isaiah and his buddy Nolan having a play date! They love hanging out with eachother.

Digging through his toys!

Learning how to play the guitar with daddy

Having cuddle time with mom before he goes to sleep.
