The last week of December is one crazy week for the Russell's. We are realizing how busy and eventful it will be every year.
There is:
Christmas on the 25th
Isaiah's Birthday on the 29th (which is also Jeff and Amy's Anniversary)
Our Anniversary on the 30th
& New Years!
Despite the multiple events in this one week, we had a great time this year. We were able to spend this Christmas with Joel's family in Wisconsin. We had an EARLY morning flight on the 25th. I was so nervous to fly out at 6am because we had to leave our house at 3:30 in the morning, but Isaiah did wonderfully. He slept the whole flight and so did we!
Christmas was very relaxing at the Russell home in Wisconsin. They live in the country, so it was very peaceful and pretty (fresh snow daily). On the 28th we had a big Christmas gathering with the family. Over 30 people came to the house for food and time to hang out. We combined the Christmas gathering with Isaiah's 1st Birthday party! He was able to eat cake and get LOADS of attention!
On the 30th we headed in to Chicago (as seen in the previous post) for my friend's wedding and to see our other good friends too! For our anniversary we were able to go out to dinner and stay downtown for the night. We haven't had a chance to really celebrate our anniversary since Isaiah was born last year at that time and the year before my brother got married in Alaska. So this year was extra special to be in Chicago where we dated, go out to the restaurant we got engaged at and to get a full night sleep!
We got back from our trip on Monday and on Monday night Isaiah started walking! We couldn't believe he waited to get home after so many people were working with him on our trip. He is still a little wobbly, but he is getting there! He is turning in to such a big boy.
We are having a Birthday party for family and friends here this Sunday. So we are getting ready for that, as well as trying to get back in to the day to day swing of things.
Sorry for the long post, but as you can see it's been a very eventful last couple of weeks! It was good to see all of you in Wisconsin and Chicago.... it made us miss each of you so much! Thanks for a wonderful time.

Isaiah on the plane ride. When he was awake he was flirting with the girl behind us, playing peek-a-boo and entertaining people around us
