Summer Trip

We just got back from a 2 week trip to Chicago and Wisconsin. We had 2 weddings to attend and lots of friends and family to visit. The first wedding we went to was my friend Annie. We have been good friends since Freshman year of college. It was so good to spend time with friends from North Park and to see Annie so happy getting married to a wonderful man!

Isaiah's First Plane Ride- He did really well, sleeping most of the time

Annie and Kenny....CONGRATS!

2 of my other friends from North Park recently had babies. Left : Krysta and baby Jonah, Middle : Bethanie with Baby Halli (Isaiah's girlfriend)

After Annie's wedding we were able to hang out in Chicago for 3 days. We stayed with our friend Regina downtown. We were able to meet up with some friends, go shopping and we, of course, had to eat some good Chicago food.

Joel's friend Kate has a baby named Zosia, she is 9 months and they were flirting with each other the whole time. Our friends are already planning the wedding!

The Gang- Joel's friends from high school. (now my friends too) :)

Uncle Marcel meeting his nephew for the first time! Marcel lives in the Chicago area so we were able to go out for dinner with him while we were there

After being in Chicago for a couple of days, we headed to Wisconsin to see Joel's parents. We were there for almost a week. Isaiah loved being with his Grandpa and Grandma...they had some good bonding time. They live in the country so it was very relaxing and peaceful. We were lucky enough to see most of Joel's family.

The view from their house. The sunsets were beautiful.

Joel's parents, his brother Jason, sister-in-law Tracee and their son Connor

We had a family BBQ last Thursday. It was great to be with everyone and they loved meeting Isaiah

Cousins. Connor will be 2 in August. It's going to be great having them so close in age!

I love this picture! Joel's sister Karen and her girls Vivian and Danica

Wedding #2 was Joel's friend Darcy from High School. Darcy and Chris got married in Lake Geneva so we were able to leave Isaiah with Grandpa and Grandma for the night! It was so much fun to hang out with friends and not worry about the baby. It was a beautiful wedding right along the lake and there was dancing outside to an acoustic guitarist. So fun!

We are back home now trying to get settled back in the routine. Joel is back at work and I am trying to get Isaiah back in to his schedule. It was a great trip. We were able to see so many people and have some time for fun and relaxing. It's always nice to be back home though, not living in a suitcase! To all the people we were able to see the last 2 weeks, we can't tell you how good it was to spend time with you. We came home feeling so blessed to have such awesome friends and family!
