Napa

In our last 4 1/2 years of marriage, we have traveled a lot. We have been to several weddings, visited family and friends. We haven't been on a "real" vacation since our honeymoon. I know it's not a real long time, but lately we have really needed to get away. With Isaiah is full swing toddler-hood, busy schedules and other things going on in life...we just needed to relax. We were blessed enough to be able to go away to Napa Valley for 5 days with some of our best friends, Megan and Kelby. It was the most relaxing, beautiful vacation. We had such a good time and are ready to go back already! Between getting massages, drinking wine, touring vineyards and relaxing in the hot tub at night... our bodies were like Jell-O all week! Sorry if this is making any or you jealous...just wait till you see the pictures.

All the vines have just been pruned ready for growth. Harvest is early fall

Megan and Kelby. Amazing people who were incredible to travel with

Doesn't the background look fake?

At Robert Mondavi Winery. 300 bottles per barrel

Big Barrels for Fermenting

Robert Mondavi had a gorgeous Tuscany feel

V. Sattui for Lunch. They have a picnic area and a deli with gourmet cheeses, bread, and of course...wine!

Cave Tour at Beringer

The Beringer House

Happy St. Patty's Day at Domaine Chandon. They are a Champagnery.

They serve this green champagne at the White House every year for St. Patrick's Day

Megan and I relaxed :)

Joel...relaxed!

Sterling Vineyards. You have to take an Air Tram to get up to the Winery. Breathtaking views!

Sterling had a Greek feel to it. They had church bells going off every hour

Chateau Montelena. This is the Vineyard that put Napa on the map. See the movie "Bottle Shock" for an entertaining history

We were able to end our trip with a half day in San Francisco. It was the first time I had been there... love that city!

Not as much as you would love Santa Barbara! :)

Glad you had a relaxing, lovely, time together!
